What is insured?
Banks, branches of foreign banks and savings houses established in the Republic of North Macedonia are obliged to insure the household deposits in the Deposit Insurance Fund, which include:
- Denar and foreign currency deposits
- Certificates of deposit
- Transaction accounts
- Deposits linked to credit cards and foreign currency income of natural persons
