Deposits insured by the DIF

Banks, branches of foreign banks and savings houses established in the Republic of Northn Macedonia are obliged to insure the deposits in the Fund.

Deposits insured in the Deposit Insurance Fund are denar and foreign currency deposits, certificates of deposit, transaction accounts, credit card deposits and foreign currency income of natural persons.

In case of reimbursement by the Fund, the various deposits of one person in one bank, branch of a foreign bank or savings house shall be considered as a single deposit.
